92024 Retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1988 following 31 plus years in uniform, with assignments from coast to coast in the United States and a couple of trips to Viet Nam. Worked an additional 10 years for the Marine Corps as a civil servant at Camp Pendleton, California. Now (2008) working for a company doing defense contracting work. The job takes me to places like Hawaii, Okinawa, Guam, Saipan and Tinian. Lots of fun and rewarding work. But now retirement looms in my future, and I’ll fully retire in June 2009. I particularly enjoy international travel and within the past year have visited Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Cambodia, Laos and Viet Nam. I’ve been fortunate to have lived in Indonesia, Viet Nam and Japan and gain a better understanding of the many interesting cultures there. Fine wine and good food are high on my list of enjoyable activities. I also enjoyed running until my body started to let me down, I knew I should have taken better care of myself when I was younger. My wife Linda was made an honorary member of our class during the 30th reunion and has enjoyed meeting many of my classmates. I have five children and seven grandchildren that I don’t see often enough. Life in southern California continues to be “La Dolce Vida”.

I believe that life's journey is not to arrive at your grave safely in a well perserved body, but rather skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "HOLY CRAP WHAT A RIDE"...and I have had a great ride.
